All ride sharing will be closed on the government holiday; Free Food Service

Dhaka (Channel TT): All ride sharing services will be suspended from Thursday, March 26 to April 4, as per the direction of the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

On Wednesday, syeda Nabila Mahbub, chief marketing and public relations officer of "Send", one of the country's top ride sharing platforms, confirmed the closure of the service, citing the BRTA directive.

He said the BRTA has directed all ride sharing services to be discontinued from March 26 to April 4. We are preparing according to the instructions of the authorities.

Syeda Nabila Mahbub also said that not everyone has the option of staying at home or at home to control the corona virus infection. Ride sharing service means people are traveling instead of staying at home. The authorities may have taken this decision from that consideration. I've already got their instructions. We want everyone to be safe at home.

However, the Food Delivery Service is free of the guidelines. This means that ride sharing services can continue to provide food services even if the ride sharing service is stopped.

Though ride sharing services are introduced through passenger transport, most of the platforms in the country later started food delivery. These organizations include Send Foods, Easy Foods, Uber Eats, etc.
