International Desk (ChannelTT): Spain opens border on June 21 for countries in the European Union's Shenzhen zone. The country's prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, made the announcement on Sunday.
Prime Minister Sanchez said the border would be opened on June 21 for countries in the Shenzhen zone. The borders of other EU countries except Shenzhen will be opened on July 1. Besides, the ban on movement of citizens across the country will be relaxed from June 21.
Spain closed its borders to European countries on 14 March due to the coronavirus. In addition, state warnings were issued to stop the movement of citizens across the country.
More than 290,000 people were infected with the coronavirus in the country. And about 26,000 corona died. The number of corona cases in the country has been declining since May.
