International Desk (Channel TT): Egypt closed all airports in the country due to the deadly coronavirus. The country has decided to reopen those airports from 1st of July 2020. The country's aviation minister said this on Sunday.
At a press conference, Manar Anba said air traffic at the airports would gradually resume from the beginning of July. He said foreign tourism would be limited to resorts in the three coastal provinces. Egypt will also open seaside resorts to foreign tourists from 1st of July 2020.
Manar Anba added that both domestic and international flights will be launched. He also mentioned that countries that want to launch international flights with Egypt will also be given a chance.
Earlier, on March 19, Egypt canceled all international flights and closed airports to prevent the spread of Corona.
The minister added that based on the World Health Organization's (WHO) assessment, travelers from countries with high rates of coronavirus infection must be tested for corona before entering Egypt.
